ASSIGNMENT # 1: FIVE-MINUTE TALK (1)(May 30)
Procedure:
§  You have about five minutes to talk about something you choose.  Set a subject which you feel will focus the teachers´ minds and prepare it at home (See the BOX).

§  Practise your talk and monitor your strengths and weaknesses. Work carefully on pronunciation, and indeed on language as a whole.

§  A mirror will be useful so that you can observe your own lips and jaw position when articulating particular sounds.

§  Speak out loudly and clearly.

§  I will not interrupt your talking; however I may mark any pronunciation or language mistakes and I will make general comments afterwards.

§  On the day of the exam, bring this guideline with you.
